I'd love to let go of the notion that we all have a clear "path" we need to be on professionally.
I spend so much time and energy focused on what's next, or what I need to be doing to advance my career - instead of taking stock of all the great aspects of it that exist in the moment I'm in.
I want to let go of being worried about what role I will be in 5 years from now, and instead appreciate the elements of my job that are right here in front of me (i.e. I am challenged, pushed, & encouraged by my team every day; I am valued in my workplace; I am able to afford a life that I want).
By living in the future, I'm living in a state of uncertainty and missing out on the present - and the present is all we really have, isn't it?
